JKG was subbed in the last game on 66 so I wonder if they are building him up to complete a full 90 at this level.

Gordon was excellent again tonight. His control is exquisite at this level, and he shows signs of real creativity. Dealt with a mishit cross tonight by repositioning himself and teeing himself up for an overhead kick (which was on target but unfortunately straight at the keeper), and caused all sorts of problems for a beleaguered Hartlepool defence.
The thing that's really endearing him to our fanbase is his work rate. Too many PL academy loanees come to league 2 and coast, but this lad is everywhere and gets stuck right in. He's adapted very quickly to the physicality of league 2, and if he keeps performing like this he's going to make a name for himself up here. I'm hoping we get promoted and somehow keep a hold of him for next season but at this rate he'll be looking at going to a tier 2 club next IMO. |

![]() I recall going to a match at Carlisle in the sixties, and if I remember correctly you could see a field with sheep in close to the ground. I presume you can't anymore, or is it that you never could and my old memory is playing tricks? |

The Club has just announced U21 central defender Ryan Bartley has joined Eastbourne Borough for the remainder of the season. (National League South).
A regular starter through all age groups, Ryan appears to have been recently pushed down the pecking order with the emergence of Sean Grehan & Kofi Balmer. (Not forgetting Jake O'Brien in Belgium). So perhaps this is an opportunity to get him game time. Standards are certainly rising in our youth system and it is getting ruthless. Nevertheless, it is an opportunity for Ryan and we wish him well. |

(25.01.23) CPFC Loanees Out
Players go out on loan for all sorts of reasons, but primarily for more experience / game time - I primarily do not comment on the players but concentrate on the minutes played if any and let those more knowledgeable give more informed thoughts Some mid week games Rob Street & Killian Phillips - Shrewsbury Town (League 1) MK Dons 0 - 1 Shrewsbury Town - Again both Rob & Killian started. Rob subbed off at half time. Killian subbed off on 73 mins. Another good win for the Shrews and up to 9th. John-Kymani Gordon - Carlisle (League 2) Carlisle 3 - 1 Hartlepool Utd - JKG started and was subbed on 73 mins along with his fellow striker, as Carlisle were up 3-1 at that stage. Carlisle moved up to 4th. Matthew Vigor - Carshalton Athletic (Isthmian League) Carshalton Athletic 2 - 1 Lewes - Matthew came on as a 68th min sub. Carshalton then scored both goals. Coincidence? I quote the Carshalton official website, "Matty Vigor’s introduction as a substitute for Carshalton proved the key to unlock the door for the Robins. He and Ekpiteta had already worked a neat one two to force another save from Carey when, only five minutes after coming on, Vigor was brought down in the penalty area after the same two players combined." Carshalton scored from the penalty. Carshalton are up to 5th. Dan Quick - Billericay Town (Isthmian league) Enfield Town 2 - 0 Billericay Town - Dan played all 90 mins Last edited by Eagle's Away; Yesterday at 09:49 AM. |

The ground has changed a lot since the sixties, which are beyond my memory I'm afraid. |
