Do the people that rule us read agreements before they go on television to say how they good before they sign them?

Are tory voters not angry that they've been completely mugged by the promises (lies) that were told to them?

This reminds me of To view the link you have to Register or Login not so long ago:

Quote:
Your crossword compiler “Brendan” (Cryptic No 26,898, 31 May) predicates a clue on the idea that “bottle” is cockney slang for courage: “Bottle, or something Dutchman can get from one (7)”. In fact, just as “loaf” (loaf of bread) means head, as in “use your loaf”, so “bottle” refers to something that rhymes only when you complete the phrase. The phrase in this case is “bottle and glass” and it rhymes with, er, arse. Cockneys wishing to avoid the Chaucerian vulgarity call an arse an “Aris”. This is not a misspelling of arse, like the American “ass”, but rhyming slang. Aris is short for Aristotle; Aristotle = bottle; bottle and glass = arse.

So “to lose your bottle” means to lose your arse or, vernacularly, to shit yourself. Someone who loses her bottle displays cowardice.

Rhyming slang is designed to be impenetrable by the uninitiate. It is not surprising that the uninitiate should guess “bottle” means courage. It sort of does; but only sort of. A person with “a lot of bottle” might not be brave at all (but might be Kim Kardashian).

Mainly the error doesn’t matter. Mainly, in fact, it is desirable. The less the middle classes and the mockneys understand rhyming slang, the better it is doing its job. Cryptic crosswords, however, depend on the precision of the clue and the accuracy of the solver’s knowledge. Clues should not be accessible only to the equally ignorant, and it behoves erring crossword compilers to extract their loaves from their bottles with alacrity.

so according to the other twitter posts, other benefits of Brexit are movement of the production of Dairy Milk from Germany to the UK, and the import of Australian Wine....quite why this is being lauded as a benefit by the brexit brigade i have no idea.

Moving production back to the U.K. which results in the creation of zero jobs

When will they stop taking us seriously I wonder.

We could end up writing ‘strong letters of protest’ brigade...

Yes it is very much outraged of Tonbridge Wells writing to the BBC circa 1952.

We aren't programme makers anymore, we aren't even license payers anymore, we are viewers with no choice or input on what to watch.

So far it has mainly been the Loyalist element sabre rattling. (Apart from the Danny McClean dissident cleanup operation of course.) If ultimatums and threats continue, then how long before the Republicans take a bigger step from out of the shadows? The North of Ireland is being used as a political football again and it will be the working class communities on both sides that will suffer the most. Again.

Although I'm sure Gove will moan about not being allowed to go on his daily jog by his security detail as MPs have been put back on the list of 'legitimate targets.'

The whole thing is depressing.

And that is exactly it SC, creating a crisis to distract from utter economic incompetence......and the real victims are always poorer communities, women and kids.
Lest we forget, British intelligence petitioned the UVF to shoot up a school (I.e. British 6,7 and 8 year olds) to create a crisis and give them an excuse to go in hard.
Nobody would win from a resumption of violence in NI and Michael Gove was always against the GFA,

You would think/hope that they would be, but they're not.

They turn on Palace on a sixpence & slag them off from a height, the team they are supposed to support, the one thing that's supposed to unite us all on here.

But criticise the rich, lying c***s that they voted for? No chance.

They've got it all wrong.

Much as Gove is a twat, I think linking him to the Glennane Gang is a bit of a stretch.
