The bit about not being affiliated with BLM USA? Yeah I know. Its a uk BLM movement which does not have the same ends as BLM USA. As we are in the UK; supporting BLM UK has **** all to do with abolishing the police as you suggested (not that BLM USA does either but hey ho). They also make it very very clear that BLM UK are not a far left movement.

Out of interest what's your beef with BLM UK?

I was going to point out that the disclaimer he gleefully pointed at supported the opposite of the argument he was making, but it would be lost on him.

I have actually just noticed the other part of the disclaimer referencing

Which is the main BLM UK group? This one or the other one?

Maybe that's why BLM is so confusing to a lot of people.

N Herts: I support the Israeli government. But I don't support the bad things it does. This is fine.
Also N Herts: You support black lives matter. But look at all the bad things it does! This is disgraceful!

May have missed this but I’m a little confused. Are the Front Wheels no longer in favour of Marxism?

I think we all support "BLM" in the message that everyone should be treated equally and never based on the colour of their skin.

If these organisations were just about that how simple it all would be.

I think 99% are against booing players when kneeling, then there is the political sides of all the different organisations and the fine print to take into consideration.

It would be helpful to know which one is the main one as one appears a bit nuts while the other seems quite sane and realistic in their stance on stuff.

Whilst I think he's bang wrong on this issue, his contributions on the Israel threads are challenging and important. And you don't have to completely agree with him to see that.

Sadly there are plenty that don't believe this. Hence a lot of the bloviating about BLM so that some can avoid having to admit their bigotry.

When the players take the knee against racism and are booed, it gives the perception of a racist act, not "I'm against politics in sport".

That being said, maybe with the controversy, UEFA should have come up with a plan for all rather than fragmenting the message by letting teams choose as it is turning into a mess of mixed messages, a bit like on here.

If you are against BLM politics (as I am), that's another thread or subject in my mind. It just feeds the personal feeding frenzy upon you, especially from your very repetitive friend, anytime you post.
This is the problem though with the politics side, what do you mean you are against BLM politics? It's a wide movement with a spectrum of organisations and individuals. There are even very different organisations calling themselves BLM.

But if you want, specifically, to have the knee taken and the fist raised ( which is intimately linked to BLM and started straight after George Floyd was used to push into a vulnerable public consciousness that the entire West is a racist construct ) then it means you are supporting far more than just confronting racism. You are advocating we all be subjected to the specific promotion of BLM itself, which is a movement that is far more than just combating racism.

BLM believes the West itself needs to be torn down. That the nuclear family dismantled. That Marxism is the way. And those defending BLM should stop trying to divorce BLM from it's Marxist / dismantle the West / dismantle the family / 'whiteness is evil' roots. It's been too proudly and loudly declared by their own leaders and own websites for that.

We live in a free, democratic system and if people want to believe in those kind of sick, hopeless, divisive kind of ideas, then fine. Believe in Cancel Culture, censoring speech, indoctrinating schoolchildren, Marxism, demeaning the West and 'white culture' and everything else which BLM supporters promote while living in a non-Marxist state which allows you the actual freedom to think and say those things. Hate a culture that allows you to despise it from within, if you need to.

Just don't insist that those who disagree with you should be forced to have your ideology ruin the start of every football match, with a demonstration supporting a political group which effectively promotes the end of our society as we know it. You get to ram this stuff down our throats via the majority of the media every single day. Most people, in a football stadium, just want a little escapism from the troubles of the world, much of which is directly from the social division and social assassination that Woke groups like BLM promote. Is it too much to escape your minority, hectoring viewpoint at a football match? Especially when Kick It Out is standing by to take over and would love the publicity given? Or are they just not sufficiently dismissive and contemptuous of the West for you?

Stop pretending that BLM is nothing more than a pacifist, non-political movement to stop racism. Stop pretending that Kick It Out couldn't serve that purpose just fine, if combating racism is really ALL you want to promote. Stop pretending that you don't understand the difference between objecting to BLM and support for anti-racism, in order for you to then have an excuse to bully people and virtue-signal amongst your kind. Stop pretending it's okay to ram your message down everyone's throats at a football match, regardless of what the majority of other human beings there think. Stop acting like you know best and we have no choice but to be talked at by you.

In short, stop your usual tactics and allow, somewhere, for 90 minutes, for people to escape your f*cking Woke garbage. Ruin the rest of our daily lives but let us enjoy a game of football you miserable, controlling c*nts.
You should let it go, you've gone well over the hyperbolic edge here and just sound like a half crazed alt-right preacher and come across like the an indoctrinated fanatic who can't tolerate anything they don't ascribe to.

Taking the knee .needs to change its name from BLM because it will forever be linked to the American murder of G Floyd and the subsequent rioting and looting . Just change its name

Good to see that Rod Liddle has entered the debate, in support of the boo-ers. This adds sensible balance to the argument and I await the views of Toby Young and Laurence Fox with interest.
