Aston Villa (a) Sunday 12th July 2:15pm Live on Sky Sports

So next couple of weeks Villa away date to be confirmed (hopefully!). Sat 25/4 currently.

Now Virgin Trains have gone, who is running the quick service up to Birmingham?

I see there are options with Chiltern Railways and West Midlands Railway?

(Last time I went, we went up on the quick train with virgin and slow train back but can't remember who with. Both trips were dirt cheap)

Cheers

Loads of these still available. Then it's £2.60 return on a New Street - Witton ticket.

Chiltern (Marylebone): £12.80. 105 mins. 2 hourly.
Avanti (Euston): £17. 81 mins. 2 hourly.
LNWR (Euston): £?. 120 mins. 2 hourly. (Advance prices not available for some reason)

National Express (Victoria, Gatwick also available): £7. 190 mins. Hourly.
Megabus (Victoria): £8.40. 190 mins. Sporadic.

Considering the availability of cheap fares, it might be wise to wait?

Booked seat on Saturday from Euston for 8.50 but on a brother in law stag do. Hoping for a Switch to a Sunday game.
If not, do you think it’s socially acceptable to disappear to watch the match during the stag do?

When I buy train tickets (asuming the kick off time doesn't change) does anyone know long should I give myself to get a train to New Street after the game?

There's a train from Witton at 5:15 which should be catchable, then another at 5:45. Journey time is around 10-12 mins.

Can also go via Aston which has far more regular services and takes seven minutes. It's a bit further from the stadium though.

Witton is a fairly small station IIRC which means you may end up having to queue for the train so if you're going there then get out sharpish.

What a dive Aston is. Would not recommend parking there.

Itís fine the other side of the ground behind the main stand, behind the green/ park thereís a school car park iirc thatís used on match days. Gotta be worth a google . Not sure what stand weíre in yet as this will sell out and Iíd rather not deprive someone whoís able to go more regular than me when I can sit in their end with extended family. Mustnít lose game this .
