General feeling is Cooper is out of his depth .
Just an update saw 2nd half against Preston at home , Swansea were woeful . No shots on target again . A Swansea season ticket holder says if Palace want him they will drive him up to us .

Dyche is even more safety first than Roy. Burnley actually score less goals than we do FFS. They've always been low scoring. Dyche may be more direct than Roy but he's another defensive coach that values hardwork and team over individual skill and expression. We want to get the most out of Wilf and Ebs and we need a proper complete midfielder in the mold of Yohan. Dyche won't do that. He's not called the Ginger Mourinho for nothing.

I agree with most of that, there’s a reason Hodgson is persisting the way he is likewise with Dyche.

But if Dyche tried to be expansive with that Burnley side they’d of been long gone relegated by now let alone a stint in Europe. I’ve seen enough from Burnley in phases to suggest Dyche is not as one dimensional and negative as he’s so wrongly perceived.

I believe Dyche would still find a way to get the most out of Eze, Simeone is still very regimented in his approach but finds ways to maximise the ability of his creative players.

We need a center midfielder in the mould of Cabaye so badly, I doubt we’ll ever get anyone of that caliber again but we need some kind of replacement. Gallagher at Chelsea or O’Brien at Huddersfield would be shrewd additions.

I think the team we currently have in place is more setup for Dyche meaning not as much work will be required for say Eddie Howe or Wilder. Ferguson and Mitchell look like they’d thrive under him and develop bundles. I think it makes sense personally but time will tell.

To be fair as well, Burnley have never gone big on any individual players.

Dyche is the only stand out candidate. He’s done an excellent job at Burnley over the years. They looked pretty dynamic when they spanked us this year and that’s with a minimal budget

We sit back against pretty much everyone and try and hit on the counter. Including Burnley! I'd rather go on all the other matches Burnley play against other sides that play a pressing possession game.
