Palace v Brighton 18th October Selhurst Park

This has been sent to me by someone who has a ‘premium season ticket ‘

I kid you not , how desperate are they . This game is on Sky Sports and not one of the new £15 games . The cost of hospitality for watching the game at the stadium on a TV is on top of of any money paid to the club for a premium season ticket where ironically hospitality is included in the price

Good Afternoon,

Hope you are well and looking forward to the weekend!

As a valued premium season ticket holder, it is with great excitement that we’re pleased to invite you to our live screening of next week’s match vs Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday 18th October, 2pm KO.

Screening will take place in your very own Executive Box for up to six guests and in the Legends Restaurant at Selhurst Park. We have been asked to comply with Government guidance in relation to the hospitality businesses and fans won’t have access to a view of the pitch.

Please see below full package details:

Legends Restaurant
Individual tables for up to 6 guests with full table service
3 course American themed meal designed by our Executive Chef, Julien Maisonneuve
Fully inclusive drinks package of beers, wines & soft drinks
HDTV’s featuring the game live from Selhurst Park
Matchday programme
The cost for this screening in Legends restaurant is £75.00 plus VAT per person – Limited capacity available.

Executive Box
Private environment for up to 6 guests with your own dedicated waitress service
3 course American themed meal designed by our Executive Chef, Julien Maisonneuve
Fully inclusive drinks package of beers, wines & soft drinks
HDTV’s featuring the game live from Selhurst Park
Matchday programme
The cost for this screening in an Executive Box is £400.00 plus VAT for 6 people – Limited numbers of boxes available.

Any clients who have credit on their account can use this towards the cost of this package.

Your health and safety is our top priority and this event will take place in accordance with the latest UK Government guidance for bars and restaurants, meaning all attendees will have their own private table and the event will operate as strictly table service only. In addition, we have worked hard to implement measures to ensure Selhurst Park is a COVID secure environment.

If you would like to book an Executive Box or table in Legends restaurant, please could you let me know by close of play on Tuesday 13th October and we will arrange an itinerary to be send out to you later in the week with further details. We hope you are able to join us next weekend!

Thank you again for your ongoing support, I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

Same as going to a pub and watching it , just a lot more expensive and purely a money making scheme . You go to selhurst park to watch the game on TV, wonder if the Clifton Arms have thought about doing this as well

Why not? In effect, you’re just booking a table for 6 at a restaurant which has some TVs showing football. The fact that the football is being played over your shoulder, behind a curtain, is neither here nor there

Just booking a table at a restaurant you have already paid for and have to wait 3 months for your refund

Well, yes - but the question was ‘How come they can offer hospitality at SP?’ rather than ‘Is this a good deal?’

I don't understand the whole Executive Box but no with access to a view of the pitch... what are they going to do, put curtains up (Edit: Just seen the same mentioned above), or plywood over the windows?

Sounds very odd to say the least.

If you can see pitch not bad deal get 6 mates 67 quid each or hf could get 135 members to pay 3 pound a ticket and have a sweepstake to pick the lucky 6

Would be good from an executive box, but I wouldn't trust them not to lock the balcony door and block off the windows from the outside so you can't do anything about it

The way I read it, that's exactly what they are doing...

I was going to say why would anyone pay to go to Selhurst to not watch the match in person but I've been guilty of doing that on several occasions after a couple of beers and an early away goal so fair enough

Imagine sitting in a dark executive box knowing the game's going on a few feet away but not being able to see any of it. Sounds like an absolute hoot

Hopefully not one person will pay for this. The club deserves nothing at the moment.
