Armstrong v Portsmouth was good. He seemed so much faster & stronger than their defence.

Bloody Hell - great memory! Middle of the dark ages that I have trained myself to forget.Strange when people say games now are the worst ever - they needed to be losing 5-0 to Wimbledon or watching us lose to Carlisle in front of 3700. Or being delayed into the home game v Shrewsbury due to congestion (crowd was 8000) and of course, we lost.

As for best individual performance, Wrighty almost got us that cup. Should have started replay - never forgave SC for that.

Lombardo''s debut at Everton. Really couldn't believe he had joined us, but there he was, in a Palace shirt, and winning the game for us.

I'm no Hennessey fan, but if he was as bad as people make out there would have been no Butterfield hattrick because Lawrence would have scored the first goal.

Incidentally, whilst there are some great suggestions on here, and even though it's just before my time, the correct answer is Peter Taylor v Chelsea in 1976.

A lot of the clear contenders have been said already but Murray v Man City at home in 2015 when we won 2-1 was as good a CF display as I've seen for a Palace player in many years.

You could pick any number of games from Zaha and Bolasie in the championship though when they were streets ahead of any opposition they came up against for a fair while

Was going to suggest this.

Bruce Dyer in a 3-0 home win against Grimsby in 1996. One of his best ever performances - and he could be a real handful in the Championship.

Of far less importance, but I'm pretty sure Dougie has a similarly brilliant game at Pompey in his first spell.

I feel like I should suggest Salako v Stoke City but from memory he 'only' scored 3 goals, on his return from injury, but was understandably off the pace at times and gave the ball away for large parts of the game.

By all accounts (I wasn't there) Lombardo's performance in the next away game against Leeds was so good, even the Leeds fans clapped him when he was substituted.

Can’t recall all the games but some names that spring to mind as really bossing the odd game and dragging us through - Nico Vassen (play offs), Hopkins for that strike, then Madden, Hughes and Jedinak for pure warrior performances

For a more recent one, FFS Murray away at West Ham a few years ago. Completely dominated them before getting a red card.

I'm confused as to whether a flash of individual brilliance constitutes a "Greatest Individual Performance" or their contribution over 90 minutes (or Ian Wright's case 30 odd minutes).

Personally I'm leaning towards the later.
