So sad, I loved the stuff he did when he was in Fleetwood Mac. One of my favourites was the Green Manalishi, you don't often hear that one. A very talented man.

I assume Peter Green was a member of the Fleetwood Mac that was rumoured to have practiced in the old Spaniard Inn/Ravens nightclub on the A3 at Hindhead.

Bloody hell. Can this year get any worse?
Saw him playing with John Mayall at the Bath Festival in 1970. Delayed start meant they played at some ungodly hour early morning. Bit of a haze. |

I always loved the fact that the 'B' side of Man of the World, which is such a beautiful and sad song, was Somebody's Gonna Get Their Head Kicked in Tonite.
At the time always my go to record on the jukebox although admittedly one to avoid on a Saturday night.

They're all going for that big ice-cream cone in the sky! They haven't figured out what happens when your eyes get bigger then your belly. Like an ostrich who eats his pizza with his head stuck in the sand. If they can't see it, it isn't there. And you know, it really *does* take a worried man! |

Never saw him in Fleetwood Mac, but caught him at the Fairfield Hall with the Splinter Group in about 2002. I remember absolutely nothing about the show, other than that he turned up!

Fond memories of Black Magic Woman from my youth which has nothing to do with the fact it was a great record. Loved the Peter Green era of Fleetwood Mac. RIP
