Oh I don’t know, I scored it an honourable draw. No knock outs, a couple of standing counts and a cut eye that needed some vaso.

Will one of you trigger the rematch clause I wonder ?….

Anything else is hypocritical.
Don’t agree with you very often on the politics threads but you’re absolutely right on this one. Irrespective of which party you go from and to, you can’t (with any credibility) get voted by the local electorate on one party agenda, then switch sides and take an opposite view. May be for local elections where there is a bit more focus on the person than the party, but not a GE. He should immediately resign and trigger a by-election, which labour will undoubtedly win (but with a labour candidate approved by the constituency)

If only Labour had some statesmen or women, with some gravitas, speaking for them, instead of a collection of whining housewife types, we might see the end of Boris

Unfortunately the tosser is gonna survive this. WTF is going on in this country?

Wakeford supported the police, crime, sentencing and courts bill, saying he was “proud” to back it. He accused Travellers of “extreme antisocial behaviour” and welcomed tougher sentencing for attacks on shop workers.

He criticised Labour for linking the bill to the Metropolitan Police’s handling of the Sarah Everard vigil, a woman murdered by a serving police officer, when an image emerged of an officer kneeling on the back of an attendee.

The MP described Labour’s position as “absolutely disgusting”, arguing that the party should be “truly ashamed”, and told parliament that the position taken by Labour was “not opposition” but “opportunism”.
Really shouldn’t be welcomed in to Labour.

However I think changing parties is another step on from having the whip withdrawn.
Agree, in one case the MP is the catalyst, in the other it's the party. Generally speaking my view is that most people vote for a party rather than an individual.

There should be a mechanism for a by election to be triggered if an MP changes party whip, if they choose to sit as an independent that is something else. Of course they may then align themselves with a party having avoided a by election

Why? You are forever going on about people never changing their minds even though they are wrong, yet when you get a convert who has seen the error of their ways and wants to join you, you reject them.

You want him to remain a tory?

Weird

I enjoyed PMQ yesterday. Starmer really got under Johnsons skin. The buffoon liar looked very, very angry most of the time.
How does he get away with the bare faced lies ? The figures he spouts are bollocks concerning the vaccine. Spain has given more away to Africa for a start.
